ledgend of the two kings
There are many stories of how the city came to be, but the one most told is the story about a friendship of two kings. Two kings, one on each coast looks acrost the sea at the others nation and overtime the two kings sent each other letters through carrier birds. A friendship was created and over the years the friendship grew. The two kings wanted to meet in person but they were seperated by a sea, and a dangerous one at that. So one king proposed an idea; the idea was to have both kings build a bridge and meet in the middle of the sea, the only problem to the idea was that this would take close to a lifetime to complete. But the two kings waited and waited. Years passed by and still the kings wrote to each other. The Bridge was finally complete and the kings crossed the bridge, met and shook hands. They chose to build a city over the bridge and over the years the city kept growing, and growing. The two kings were said to have been barried at the lowest point of the city both together. To honor the two kings, two statues were built of each one on each side of the bridge on its coast line with both statues reaching there hand out to each other ready to welcome each other. Today the story is still told but there are many stories similar to that one, majority are warped to the two kings being of some diety so one can relate to the story. Since the passing of the two kings, the city has no king to rule it and the people of the city rule each other. The city has become an icon of two nations and a meca of trade and cultural beliefs.
